Brian Jenkins received his B.A. from Keene State College and attended Student Art Centers International in Florence Italy.  He has numerous works in print including Yankee Magazine, July/August 2000, cover art for Bostonia Magazine Summer 2004 and cover art for UMass Amherst magazine Spring 2007.

In his own words:  "I enjoy the act of painting.  This is what I want to convey to my viewer, that I worked at the painting.  I want them to see how the paint lays on the canvas and how the subject matter works as a vehicle for expression.  I m not trying to duplicate what I see, I am using the subject a s a way to jump into the act of of painting.  To create an interesting way to see something familiar in an unfamiliar light".
