Claire Conant resides in Connecticut and primarily paints New England landscapes and still life's. She enjoys the inspiration of working in nature, then brings her works to completion in her studio. Her paintings are in numerous private collections and her work is represented in numerous gallery's.

Her education and training include a M.A. in Art History from the University of Miami, Art Students League of New York, NY and Plein-Air Painters of America Workshop and Seminar, Bennington Vermont.

Among her awards are First Prize in the Rowayton Art Association Annual All Member Show and  First Prize in the Darien Art Association Annual Art Show.
