Kyle Stuckey, was born in New Hampshire in 1987, began his formal art
education at age 18 studying drawing and painting privately with Lori
Woodward. He supplemented his education with art videos by Morgan
Weistling and Daniel Gerhartz, and studied with Mike Malm via a
scholarship he received from Scottsdale Artists School in 2006.
Historical artists such as; J. W. Waterhouse, William Bougereau, and
John Singer Sargent, have strongly influenced, Kyle’s painting style.
He is now a member of The Putney Painters, an invitational
group, mentored by Richard Schmid and Nancy Guzik.
In 2007, Kyle began working with Monadnock Fine Art Gallery in New
Hampshire, and had his first solo show 18 months later.
In 2009, Stuckey won 2nd place in Southwest Art Magazine's 21
Under 31 national competition with his painting, Brittany. His
work, Crimson Scarf, was accepted into the Eastern Regional Oil
Painters of America Show held in Jacksonville, Florida.
While his objective is to show the natural beauty of everyday
experiences by telling a story, Kyle's process accomplishes this goal,
regardless of the complexity or simplicity of the subject, by carefully
composing the effects of light, confluence of color and variety of soft
and hard edges.
Kyle Stuckey is
a Signature Member of Oil Painters of America.
