Nicole Caulfield graduated from the Northern Illinois University School of Art in 1997. Since that time she has spent her professional time as a freelance artist, illustrator and art instructor. Nicole's medium is colored pencil on Ampersand Pastelbord which is a hardboard material. Her pieces are then varnished with archival varnish and framed without glass or matting just like an oil or acrylic painting. Her painting "Half Peck" was accepted in the 2006 Salmagundi Annual Open Non-Members Exhibition and she was a finalist in the Best Art of 2006 contest in the December issue of Artists Magazine. Nicole won Best in Show and the People's Choce Award for "Zen" at the Thorne Sagendorph Gallery 2008 Biennial Regional Juried Show. She has participated in numerous other shows and exhibits as well as won several awards. **We are happy to announce that Nicole's
piece, "Lasting Impressions" got into this year's CPSA International
Competition. She is really excited because it is her third to get in
and will get her signature status this year.
